Be Proxima.

Proxima is a way of thinking. It is learned in conversations with others.

Proxima at the Ballpark

When it’s crowded and chaotic here I’m always glad you’re sitting in my section. Your presence is calming.

Main Story

On game nights near Oracle Park, the streets come alive with fans, vendors, and excitement. For Mike, a longtime Giants fan, the stadium pub became more than a spot to watch baseball — it became a classroom for learning how to Live Proxima.

Years ago, he began a small experiment, treating ordinary routines like walking the dog or attending a ballgame as opportunities to love God and love people. Over time, that practice reshaped how he saw his neighborhood. He began to slow down, listen, and build friendships with stadium staff. Faces became names, and names became stories.

One night, as the crowd pressed in, two servers — Laura and Tyler — went out of their way to find Mike a seat. Laura later told him, “When it’s crowded and chaotic, I feel peace when you’re here.” Her words captured something deeper: God’s quiet work through presence. Years of simple care had become a channel for love — ordinary people reflecting the heart of Jesus in unexpected places. For friends like Laura and Tyler, church isn’t an option. Yet through relationships grounded in peace and attention, they glimpse the love of Christ in action.

This is what it means to Live Proxima: to bring the love and presence of Jesus into workplaces, neighborhoods, and everyday spaces where traditional ministry might not reach.
